TNA Show Information


It was created as the alternative to World Wrestling Entertainment in 2002, formed from many of the cast-offs from the departures of World Championship Wrestling and Extreme Championship Wrestling. It used the National Wrestling Association to get itself some legitimacy, raising up the NWA World Heavyweight & Tag-Team Titles. Now it's the 60-minute adrenaline rush on Spike TV, and the hottest thing going besides WWE. The future only looks bright for Total Nonstop Action.

- Lance Hoyt defeated Dale Torborg. Hoyt had David Eckstein in his corner, while Torborg had AJ Perzinski (Baseball players).

- Bob Backlund defeated Alex Shelley

- The Voodoo Kin Mafia (BG James & Kip James) defeated Basham & Damaja

- Eric Young won a "Freedom" Match over Robert Roode. By winning, Young freed himself from Roode's contractural control. If Young would have lost, Roode would have fired him.

- Team 3-D (Brother Ray & Brother Devon) retained the TNA World Tag-Team Titles, defeating Rick Steiner & Road Warrior Animal. Scott Steiner (who was supposed to be Rick's partner) was injured beforehand and was replaced by Animal.

- Sting defeated Christopher Daniels

- Abyss won a "No Disqualification" Match over Tomko

- Kurt Angle won the vacated TNA World Heavyweight Title, winning a "King of the Mountain" Match over Christian Cage, Chris Harris, Samoa Joe, and AJ Styles

- Christopher Daniels won a "10-Man Gauntlet Ultimate X #1 Contenders" Match. The other participants were Black Machismo, Sonjay Dutt, Homicide, Frankie Kazarian, Puma, Senshi, Shark Boy, Elix Skipper, and Petey Williams.

- The Voodoo Kin Mafia (BG James & Kip James) defeated Basham & Damaja

- James Storm defeated Rhino

- The Murder City Machine Guns (Chris Sabin & Alex Shelley) defeated Bob Backlund & Jerry Lynn

- Eric Young & Gail Kim defeated Robert Roode & Ms. Brooks

- Christian Cage defeated Chris Harris

- Abyss & Sting defeated AJ Styles & Tomko

- Samoa Joe, as the TNA X Division Champion, & Kurt Angle, as the TNA World Heavyweight Champion, won a "Match of Champions" Match over the TNA World Tag-Team Champions, Team 3-D (Brother Ray & Brother Devon). - The Latin American Xchange (Hernandez & Homicide) defeated The Voodoo Kin Mafia (BG James & Kip James)

- Robert Roode won a "Humiliation" Match over Eric Young. However, Ms. Brooks was the one who ended up being tarred and feathered.

- Chris Harris won, via DQ, over Dustin "Black Reign" Rhodes

- The Steiner Brothers (Rick Steiner & Scott Steiner) defeated Team 3-D (Brother Ray & Brother Devon)

TNA Fight For The Right Tournament 2007
October 14th - November 11th, 2007

Pre-Tournament:

- A reverse battle royal was held at TNA Bound For Glory '07 to determine the participants in the tournament, as well as their positions in the brackets. Eric Young won the reverse battle royal, while Junior Fatu, Lance Hoyt, Frankie Kazarian, Robert Roode, Chris Sabin, Alex Shelley, and James Storm earned spots in the tournament.

First Round:

- Frankie Kazarian defeated Lance Hoyt

- James Storm defeated Eric Young

- Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley fought to a No-Contest. Christian Cage was given the vacant spot in the tournament by beating Samoa Joe.

- Junior Fatu defeated Robert Roode. However, when Fatu left TNA, Chris Harris took the vacant spot.

Semi-Finals:

- Frankie Kazarian defeated James Storm

- Christian Cage defeated Chris Harris

Finals were held at TNA Genesis 2007

November 11th, 2007

- Abyss won a "Shop of Horrors" Match over Black Reign

- The Murder City Machine Guns (Chris Sabin & Alex Shelley) defeated Team 3-D (Brother Ray & Brother Devon)

- Gail Kim retained the TNA Knockouts Title, winning a "Four Way" Match over Roxxi Laveaux, Angel Williams, and ODB

- Black Machismo retained the TNA X Division Title, defeating Sonjay Dutt

- AJ Styles & Tomko retained the TNA World Tag-Team Titles, defeating The Steiner Brothers (Rick Steiner & Scott Steiner)

- Samoa Joe defeated Robert Roode

- Frankie Kazarian won the 2007 Fight For Your Right Tournament, winning a "Ladder" Match over Christian Cage

- Johnny Devine & Team 3-D (Brother Ray & Brother Devon) won a "Tables" Match over Black Machismo & The Murder City Machine Guns (Chris Sabin & Alex Shelley)

- Angelina Love & Velvet Sky defeated Roxxi Laveaux & ODB

- Eric Young defeated James Storm

- BG James, Scott Steiner, Petey Williams, and Senshi won a "Feast or Fired" Match, where the winners each got a briefcase that contained either a title match or a pink slip. The other participants were Christopher Daniels, Sonjay Dutt, Chris Harris, Hernandez, Homicide, Lance Hoyt, Kip James, Jimmy Rave, Shark Boy, and Elix Skipper.

- Gail Kim retained the TNA Knockouts Title, winning, via DQ, over Awesome Kong

- Abyss & Raven won a "Thumbtacks" Match over Black Reign & Rellik

- Booker T & Frankie Kazarian defeated Christian Cage & Robert Roode

- Kevin Nash, Samoa Joe, & Eric Young (substituting for Scott Hall, who no-showed the event) defeated Kurt Angle, AJ Styles, & Tomko
