It was created as the alternative to World Wrestling Entertainment in 2002, formed from many of the cast-offs from the departures of World Championship Wrestling and Extreme Championship Wrestling. It used the National Wrestling Association to get itself some legitimacy, raising up the NWA World Heavyweight & Tag-Team Titles. Now it's the 60-minute adrenaline rush on Spike TV, and the hottest thing going besides WWE. The future only looks bright for Total Nonstop Action.
