For years, it was the biggest promotion in the business. World Championship Wrestling, which came out of its ties with the National Wrestling Asociation, was one of the "Big Three" of the '90s, running toe-to-toe with the World Wrestling Federation for control of the wrestling industry, with Extreme Championship Wrestling controlling the underground. In the end, WCW fell to the WWF, but its impact on the sport can't be understated. Of course, that impact includes this website, which started out as a WCW fansite. For that reason alone, I felt like working on this card history of the great organization, if only to remember the matches (and the superstars) that made it great.
For a little more information on the cards (such as the time of the matches and who picked up the falls), be sure to check out the WCW section of www.prowrestlinghistory.com.
