- NWA US Tag-Team Title Tournament (November - December '88) = Simmons & Eddie Gilbert defeated Al Perez & Larry Zbysko and the Sheepherders to move to the finals of the tournament, held at COTC IV.
- WCW Clash of the Champions IV (December '88) = Simmons & Eddie Gilbert fell to the Fantastics, who won the vacant NWA US Tag-Team Titles.
- NWA World Tag-Team Title Tournament (May '89) = Simmons & Ranger Ross lost in the first round to the Samoan Swat Team. The Freebirds won the tournament.
- WCW Great American Bash '89 = Simmons competed in a "Two-Ring King Of The Hill Battle Royal", which were won by Sid Vicious and Danny Spivey.

- WWF Middle East Cup Tournament (December 2, '96) = Farooq fought to a Double-Countout with Vader. Bret Hart won the tournament.
- WWF Royal Rumble '97 = Faarooq lost, via DQ, to Ahmed Johnson. Later that night, Faarooq competed in the Royal Rumble, which was won by Steve Austin.

- WWF Wrestlemania XIII ('97) = Faarooq, Savio Vega & Crush were beaten by Ahmed Johnson & the Legion of Doom in a "Chicago Street Fight".

- WWF Intercontinental Title Tournament (September - October '97) = Faarooq lost in the first round to Ken Shamrock. Due to Shamrock's injury, however, Faarooq advanced. He beat Ahmed Johnson to move into the finals at Badd Blood.
- WWF Badd Blood (October '97) = Faarooq was beaten by Owen Hart, who won the vacant Intercontinental Title.
- WWF Survivor Series '97 = Faarooq, Rocky Maivia, D-Lo Brown & Kama fought in an "Elimination" match against Ahmed Johnson, Ken Shamrock, & the Legion of Doom. Faarooq was pinned by Johnson. Shamrock was the sole 'survivor'.
- WWF Royal Rumble '98 = Faarooq competed in the Royal Rumble, which was won by Steve Austin.
