History: Hiro Saito has been a professional wrestler for a long time, winning titles in many different organizations. After wrestling some in Japan, Saito came to the US to wrestle for the WWF. In May 1985, Saito defeated the Cobra to win the WWF Junior Heavyweight Title. He was the champion for 2 months before the Cobra took the belt back. On the same night, Saito won the NWA Junior Heavyweight Title by beating the Cobra in a second match with a different organization. Later, on the same night, the Cobra won the NWA title back. Talk about a rough night!

Saito soon returned to Japan to compete in the All-Japan World Junior Heavyweight Tournament in July '86. He defeated Brad Armstrong in the final, becoming the first All-Japan Junior Heavyweight Champion. After 4 months as the champ, he was beaten by Kuniaki Kobayashi. Although I am not sure about where Saito wrestled next, there was a "Mr. Saito" in the AWA, who won the AWA World Heavyweight Title from Larry Zbyszko. I know for a fact that he joined the group known as the Raging Staff. He then won the IWGP Tag-Team Titles with Super Strong Machine over Hiroshi Hase and Kensuke Sasaki in December 1990, which they held for 3 months until Hase and Sasaki won them back.

When Raging Staff dispersed, Saito joined Team Wolf with Masa Chono and Hiroyoshi Tenzan, and was basically hidden behind the two for a couple of years. When Chono returned from the US to form nWo Japan, Saito was one of the first members to join up. Saito stayed a strong member of nWo Japan for the next few months, finally growing in the people's eyes. But when the angle was finally dropped, Saito again faded into the background of the NJPW. He continues to wrestle on the mid-card there and in surrounding Japan feds, still earning his money as a professional wrestler.
