The Test

So you think you've learned everything you need to know about roleplaying in a major e-federation? Do you feel that you're ready for a run at a major championship, content in the knowledge that you can come out victorious? Good. Confidence is a major part of roleplaying, don't forget that. If you don't believe you can win, you won't. A good way for you to build that confidence is by testing yourself, and seeing how you fare. Usually, that's done inside the federation. But here, you have the opportunity to try your hand at roleplaying without worrying about wins or losses. Below are a number of 'opponents' for you to challenge. Each has their own history with your wrestler. Each has their own personality quirks. Choose one of these adversaries and write a roleplay towards them, as if you two were meeting at a major pay-per-view, possibly for the gold, possibly for your career. Once you have finished, send the roleplay in, and see what the official roleplay grader tells you. Good luck.

Johnny "The Entire" Universe

Age: 25

Height: 6'6"

Weight: 268 lbs

Style: Technician, Cheat

Finishing Maneuver: Sunspots (Sleeper Hold)

Background: Johnny U is considered one of the most egotistical wrestlers on the planet. He was once a nobody in the federation, until he stopped caring what the fans thought of him and started using any means necessary to get the victory. From slipping something into his opponent's water to using a steel-plated elbow pad in the ring, Johnny U has done it all. It won him the Intercontinental Title not long ago, and now this up-and-coming wrestler is looking straight up at the Heavyweight Title. The only problem is that you stand in his way. Ever since Johnny U used a chair to cause you to lose a fight to a rookie, things have gotten personal. Since that time, you and he have had many bloody battles leading up to the Pay-Per-View match. Johnny U has done everything in his power to get under your skin, including trying to steal your girlfriend away from you.

Now it's all on the line. The winner gets the IC Title and most likely becomes the #1 Contender. The loser has to go home and watch it all on television. The pressure is on. Can you beat Johnny U?

"Boomerang" Billy Sinclair

Age: 37

Height: 6'0"

Weight: 209 lbs

Style: High-Flyer

Finishing Maneuver: 6 Feet Down Under (Corkscrew Moonsault From Turnbuckle)

Background: The Boomerang has been in the sport for a very long time. He's won almost every title that can be held in the federation, and has seemingly done it all. But now he's started to lose a step or two, and has desperately been trying to get back to where he once was. Although his age is showing, he's still one of the fastest wrestlers in the world today, and his experience has helped him pull off a few surprise victories against larger foes. Now you're next on his agenda. You've got a belt that this guy is looking for in his quest to regain his stature as one of the best in the fed. He has openly challenged you on numerous occasions, with his Australian accent getting the better of him a few times. You've since answered the challenge, facing the man in a very tough match that ended in a double count-out.

Now it's all set. The match has been signed at the pay-per-view. Champion vs. challenger. Possibly the Boomerang's last shot at the gold. Possibly your way to get even further recognized as one of the greats. Take the challenge. Just remember one thing: the Boomerang always comes back when you least expect it.

DJ Smackdown

Age: 29

Height: 6'4"

Weight: 321 lbs

Style: Powerhouse

Finishing Maneuver: Static (Spinebuster)

Background: Since he came into the fed, there have been few harder to move than DJ Smackdown. The man is a tremendous heavyweight, who nearly puts Rakishi to shame. He's not fast, nor pretty, but he gets the job done inside the squared circle, simply because he can toss wrestlers in the air like a pizza crust, while opponents can barely manage to get him down for a submission hold. That's what has made him the Heavyweight Champion for nearly three months now. Well, that and the fact that his manager, Master B, always seems to be there to distract and influence the referee. There have even been a few charges of bribery issued to the manager, who denies the accusations. The refs do alway seem to go Smackdown's way.

You've been picked by the President of the federation to be the man to take DJ Smackdown down, and to get the World Heavyweight Title away from him. It's not going to be an easy task, but the guy in charge feels that if anyone can do it, you can. DJ Smackdown is very interested in the challenge you pose, but also seems to be taking you a little bit lightly, since he's destroyed all opponents who have challenged him. Can you use this to your advantage, and finally stop the massive machine in front of you?

Black Demon

Age: Unknown

Height: 7'1"

Weight: 330 lbs

Style: Powerhouse

Finishing Maneuver: Hellfire (Stunner)

Background: Not much is known about the man known as Black Demon. With the hellish mask he wears, and the way he allows his valet, a seedy lady known only as Camilla, give his interviews, it is very difficult to know what the man is thinking. But everyone knows that the man can wrestle. He stands up to punishment that can leave most men begging for a stretcher, then delivers the same amount to his opposition. This has made him a major threat to your championship. You've tried to avoid him, but he's cut through anyone who could stand in his way. Now he's been signed to fight you for the belt at the next pay-per-view.

Can you put the fear aside and battle this man? Or is there any fear to begin with? Do you see right through this man's gimmick, and know the way to get his shoulders to the mat? This could be your toughest test yet as a champion. Show this pretender what real darkness looks like.

That's the list we have so far of contenders for you to wrestle against. Expect more to be added to the list down the line. For now, select one of the wrestlers and compose a roleplay, then send it via email to the address below. Put "Roleplay Test" on the subject line, so that I know what it is. You should get a response not more than a week afterwards, and most likely a lot sooner, depending on how many wrestlers are taking the test at the time.
