Comments:
"The Star" Steven Mysterio was there at the very beginning, wrestling as Shorty and vying for the Cruiserweight Title. He was also there at the end, as part of the Righteous Rumble '01. That's how long this man's career lasted in the GCWA: from start to finish. Mysterio, whose early claim to fame was being the brother of Rey Jr, slowly built his career from the ground up, from his days with the Ruff Ryders to joining up with X-Dog in Degeneration-X. Mysterio's main push was in the Cruiserweight division, where he won the belt four times, more than anyone else in the GCWA's history. His feuds with such wrestlers as Marty Jannetty, DMX, Napalm, X-Dog, and others made him a household name to all GCWA fans. His participation in almost 80 matches, the career high in the fed, cemented his Hall-of-Fame credentials.
